March Birch Box

All products

We’re three weeks into March already! This month has absolutely flown by and with the build up to the new one pound launch fast arriving (tomorrow!) I haven’t had much of a chance to stop and get as much writing done as I would have liked due to work commitments. Resulting in this being only my second blog post…. on the same topic. Naughty blogger!

As I had mentioned in my previous post, I was sent an email by Birch Box to select my chosen special item for the March edition. This (in my humble opinion) was a really exciting choice- the Benefit They’re real! Double the lip lipstick in either Lusty Rose or Pink Thrills. You’ve probably seen this lip-liner and lipstick duo doing the round on the numerous beauty blogs out there so I thought my own pennies worth as well!

I opted for the Lusty Rose colour as I felt that it would be more wearable. The thinner end of this tear drop shaped lipstick is darker so that it works as a lip liner. It has a creamy texture and the colour is great. Super wearable.

As you can probably see in the picture, I was too excited to wait to use this before I had a chance to take a picture!

Balance Me > Instant Lift Primer – I feel like this would be a great primer for ‘night out’ make up that involves heavy coverage. Goes on somewhat easily and has a tacky feel so make up should stay put. (RRP: £22)

Korres > Santorini Vine Shower Gel – Not much to say about this other than it smells absolutely divine! (RRP: £8)

Batiste > 2 in 1 invisible Dry Shampoo and Conditioner – This was the only product that I was disappointed with in the entire box. I’ve previously used Batiste dry shampoo a lot in the past and having dark hair has always resulted in my having to massage out the white residue. This product promises not to leave the residue but after using it once I was left feeling overall ‘meh’. Might give it another try in the future though as it does smell nice. (RRP: 4.99)

Marcelle> Gentle Makeup Remover – I finally got my nan’s namesake! Takes makeup off easily and feels somewhat refreshing. It does leave an unexpected oily residue but this comes off super easily and I’m able to push past it. (RRP: £14.50)

Another little extra in this months box was this little ‘best day ever’ wash bag which will be very convenient for holding my toothbrush on my travels back and forth London.

This was another pleasing box from my Birch Box subscription. I’ve already been sent an email to choose next month’s special item, I can see this becoming an addiction for me…
