I thought that I would write a little bit about our plans for the second half of our trip following on from spending December in Thailand.

We’ll be spending a few days in Kuala Lumpur where I’m looking forward to eating some great food and seeing the Petronas Towers. We would have liked to have visit Penang but sadly we’ll only have a few days between Thailand and Singapore (we really wanted to spend New Years in Thailand). If we can squeeze it in then we definitely will!

We will then be moving on to spend around 3 to 4 days in Singapore. I am incredibly excited to visit this city! The Botanical Gardens look amazing in every picture that I’ve seen and I’ve even managed to convince James to come along to the Universal Studios there.
Mid January marks the beginning of our two month trip across Australia. We’ll be flying into Melbourne where we will spend at least a week exploring the city. We will then fly into Sydney where we are hoping to celebrate Australia day with the locals! Our plans are fairly fluid in terms of Australia right now but we thinking of hiring a camper van once we are finished in Sydney. We’ll drive up the East Coast where we will fly from Cairns to Bali. One of the places outside of the cities in Australia that I am really looking forward to visiting is Fraser Island, it looks beautiful!

Bali is the last destination on our journey before we head home. I’ll be using this time to enjoy the beautiful beaches and relax as much as possible before beginning the long journey home. We’ll try Kuta at first but I also like the idea of heading inland a little, perhaps towards Ubud.
