I recently celebrated my 26th birthday. Along with getting a little more older and (hopefully) a little more wiser, I enjoyed celebrations with my friends and family who gave me some beautiful presents that I thought I could share in today’s post.
The first of my gifts was from my Nanny and was obviously Disney related; a pair of Winnie the Pooh pyjamas! I love getting new pyjamas at the best of times but its definitely an added bonus if they are Disney.
She also gave me this gorgeous Khiels gift set that I had been eyeing up in the boxing day sales (January Sales may possibly be the only benefit of a January birthday). I’ve started using the face wash and moisturiser and have already noticed an improvement in my skin, but I am particularly excited to use the hand cream to see if it helps improve my hands when they get particularly dry and raw in this cold weather.
James gave me a few different presents but the biggest and best surprise of all was this DIY photo album below which is an imitation of Carl and Ellie’s photo album from the film ‘Up’. It is absolutely gorgeous and came with postcard copies of the photos and newspaper clippings that are pasted in the album in the film! I’ve already filled up one photo album with pictures of Vietnam and Cambodia so I’m going to use this album for the rest of our trip.
I also had a new Studio Ghibli film from James ‘ The Red Turtle’. I hadn’t heard of this one so I’m saving it for a cosy evening in where we can watch it together.
I was given a cute little panda soup cup from one lovely friend which will be perfect for work, along with a bath bomb and body balm.
Two of my oldest girlfriends might have possibly surprised me the most. They were very generous and gave me the Naked Heat Pallet which was completely unexpected. I have been lusting over this pallet for absolutely ages and had actually been planning on buying it with my birthday money. I’m sure my face was a picture when I opened it and needless to say, I’ve been using it ever since.
Another useful present came in the form of this little umbrella from my other Nanna. The weather has been shocking in the last few weeks so it’s been particularly useful on my walks to work in the morning!
I don’t usually do these kind of posts but I was really pleased with everything I had so I wanted to share. I haven’t photographed everything because I was very lucky and I would have been taking photos all afternoon. Thanks to all my friends and family who bought for me, fingers crossed that 26 is going to be as amazing as 25 was for me!
