I have to admit, I was particularly excited for this month’s Birch Box because I had resubscribed purely in anticipation for the Benefit BADgal Bang mascara that was to be included. Safe to say, the mascara did not disappoint but the rest of the box turned out to be amazing, making this March’s edition my favourite ever Birch Box.
The focus of this box was ‘mindfulness’ so it was decorated beautifully and came with some amazing products that I was keen to try as soon as possible!
The full sized item in this months box was the Rituals ‘The Ritual of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel’ (RRP £4.50). When I first opened the box, I thought that this was another travel sized item as it is pretty small but it smells amazing and due to it being a gel to foam type of consistency, a little goes a really long way! The size is also amazing for my gym bag.
This months hair item is the Amika ‘Bombshell Blowout Spray’ (RRP £14.99). This is a texturising spray, I haven’t used it yet but it smells gorgeous so I’m excited to try it.
As I mentioned above, when Birch Box announced that they would be including a fun sized Benefit BADgal Bang mascara (RRP: £21.50) I decided to restart my subscription. The brush is plastic which is my preference as I find that it gives my lashes a fuller look. I’ve already used this mascara as I could wait any longer and I have to say, it’s fantastic! It really adds length and volume to your eyelashes, however, if you don’t like the ‘chunky’ eyelash look then this probably won’t be for you.
I was excited to find a GlamGlow face mask in the box as I’ve seen the masks doing the rounds on the internet. The mask in this month’s box was the ‘SUPERMUD Clearing mask treatment’ (RRP: £42) which is perfect as my skin has been a bit poor as of late. This mask has active charcoal in it along with a blend of acids.I think that it smells a little bit of aniseed. When I first put this on, it felt quite hot on my skin (to the point where I feared that I may have been having a reaction) but I decided to stick it out for a few minutes and the feeling went away as the mask dried up so I ended up keeping it on for longer than 15 minutes. When I rinsed the mask off, my face was so soft it was actually ridiculous!
Another mask came in the form of the BLAQ ‘Hydrogel Eye Mask’ (RRP: £22). I love a good eye mask and am keeping this for later in the week so that my eyes look fresh for the wedding that I am attending on the weekend.
I can’t get over how amazing this month box was. I haven’t been disappointed by a single item and have received some really exciting items. If you’re interested in looking at the previous month’s Birch Box subscription, click here.
